Wine
Chile began producing wine in the19th century under the tutelage of some of France’s greatest experts. The range of climates between northern Region III and southern Region VIII provides the perfect conditions for a wide variety of fine red and white wines.
Chile’s wines are rated among the best in the world and continue to grow in importance. Santiago is the perfect place for wine shopping. It lies a short distance from many of the country’s best vineyards. Some vineyards even fall within the city limits.
