English/Foreign Media:
Spanish may be Chile’s official language, but there are many places where
you can keep in touch with the English media while you are here.
You can pick up foreign newspapers and magazines at the newsstands on
the corner of Ahumada and Huerfanos, near the Plaza de Armas. Foreign
newspapers may be slightly out of date. These stands also carry the English
weekly News Review.
Some cable companies offer a few English language channels. Full Canal
has both Spanish and English programs. See the Cable TV section for more
information. VTR offers CNN International in English as well as a Voice
of America affiliate.
