21. Los Molles Pichidangui
Littoral dunes, coastal shore. Tree-shaped steppe bush. Presence of marginal amounts of cactus species under conservation. Great flora and fauna endemism. Relevant presence of lucumo, a vulnerable specie. Presence of the feline species gato colo colo and chungungo, threatened species.
22. Highlands of Petorca and Alicahue
Basin and sub basin. Thorny bush from the mountain range, Andean sclerophile bush, Santiago's High-Andean steppe. Great endemism, with presence of threatened or limited species, and interesting species. Zone of central Chile with the largest population of guanaco. Reproductive environment for several species.
23. El Melon mountain range
Mountains and hills. Coastal sclerophile forest, tree-shaped steppe bush and thorny bush from the mountain range. Great botanic diversity. Presence of the northern belloto tree. Relative purity and potential for regeneration. It registers a record in the amount of fauna. Great endemism of vertebrates. Presence of the puma feline specie, which faces conservation problems.
24. Zapallar forest
Basin and subbasin. Coastal sclerophile forest. Relict laurifolia forest of flower-shaped compsotion similar to the olivillo coastal forest. Presence of the northern belloto tree, declared as a national monument. Presence of threatened species, such as raton topo del matorral and quique.
25. Laguna Verde lagoon
Basin and subbasin. Coastal sclerophile forest. Relict environment. Presence of savage lucumo and other threatened species. Refugee for several species from wetlands. Presence of seberal vertebrates with conservation problems, such as the zorro chilla fox, degu costina, sapo de rulo frog and raton chinchilla.
