Coastal wetlands. The most relevant outlet in Region I and northern Chile, the Lluta delta is abundant with bird life, including permanent and migratory species, 75 of which are currently facing conservation problems. Rugged thatches of waterfront vegetation provide cover in the form of numerous oases and thickets.

Pre-Altiplano shrubby steppe. The zone has a great biodiversity of vertebrate species and birds. High species' singularity. The northern Huemul (Taruca), which is a specie in danger of extinction.

Coastal-marine environment. Marine mammals, mainly facing conservation problems, can be found in this zone. It is a zone with high productivity. Great diversity of marine birds, both permanent and migratory.

High-Andean wetlands. One of the most pure salt flats in Chile. Unique and migratory species can be found there. The zone allows High-Andean connectivity. There are 25 vertebrate species in conservation categories.

Coastal-marine environment. Zone with a great biological productivity, including reproduction, eggs laying and recruitment of pelagic species. It includes the presence of Green Turtle.
