JOSÉ DOMINGO CAÑAS

(corner of Republica de Israel)
This house functioned as a transitory secret DINA center from August 1974 to November 1974, between the closing of Londres 38 and the opening of Villa Grimaldi. People held there were interrogated and tortured.
Detainees were kept in a common room, similar to Londres 38, and in another place called "the hole," a windowless cell of 2 x 1 meter. As many as ten prisoners would be kept in this space, without ventilation and in extreme conditions.
Lumi Videla, a member of the MIR, died in this center during a torture session.
