MILITARY HOSPITAL

(Vitacura 115)

(From Rettig report)

A certain number of people detained by the DINA, some of whom later disappeared, were taken to the Santiago Military Hospital for medical attention.

The entry of these patients detained by the DINA was not registered by the hospital and officials there responded negatively to inquiries from the courts about the amount of time prisoners spent there.

Witnesses report that prisoner Gonzalo Marcial Toro Garland, a member of MIR injured during his detention on April 4, 1974, was taken to this hospital.
