LINKING ART AND POLITICS IN CHILE
The Art and Politics Colloquium 2004 and Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende
(June 4, 2004) “Everything is political and not everything is political. Everything is artistic and not everything is artistic.” Such were the paradoxical opening words of Jose Weinstein, Chile’s Minister of Culture, on inaugural night of the “Art and Politics” colloquium this past Tuesday. Van Sant is probably best known for his work directing the Grammy Award-winning movie “Good Will Hunting.” Elephant is a dramatic departure from the 1997 blockbuster.

Peruvian and Brazilian cuisine vies for your attention with Chilean and Chinese restaurants. Ozono, Bar Liguria, Barcelona to name a few. However, there is a glaring omission on most discerning diner’s taste-bud radar: Il Bosco, on Antonio Bellet.
