EASTERN PROMISE
Tibetan Culture Wows Las Condes

(April 8, 2005) Few have had the chance to experience Tibetan culture first-hand as its borders were only reopened to foreign tourists in 1984. ‘TOCANDO EL CIELO’ TRACES NATURE’S ETERNAL JOURNEY

(April 8, 2005) The beauty of “Winged Migration (Tocando el Cielo)” is that it captures the naked wonder of birds in flight – to us humans a miracle of nature, to birds a struggle for survival.

“Few other films bring you up close to the birds as they make their biannual journeys across continents to warmer climes. “Tocando el Cielo” puts the viewer directly alongside the birds with incredible cinematography and viewpoints from the skies that know no boundaries.

The common thread that binds the diverse group is that all 91 participate in the project “Residencia en el Valle (Residence in the Valley).”

The ST Diary

POPE IDOL

(April 8, 2005) The Diary mourns the death of Pope John Paul II, but does not understand why there was such an outcry when bookmakers started to take bets on who would be the next pope.
