Hertz Rent A Car - Chile Hertz car rental serves Antofagasta, Arica,, Calama, Concepción, Copiapo, Coyhaique, Iquique, La Serena, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Santiago (3 locations), Valdivia, Viña Del Mar Drivers must be 22 years or older, and have a valid driver's license and credit card.
Hertz vehicles are priced based on class and on either a daily (1-5 days) or weekly basis. The class options range, and not all specific models of each class are available at every Hertz location. Prices are also based on class: economic, medium, automatic with additional features as the class increases. Hertz also offers larger cars and trucks.
The rates include unlimited mileage, additional drivers, emergency road service, and airport pickup in Santiago and all other cities where Hertz has a location. Hertz charges an additional US$6 fee for Airport use for all vehicles rented in any airport within Chile. There is a drop-off charge of US$843 for cars dropped off in Punta Arenas. Hertz charges an additional fee of $1,500 + tax per day for each vehicle rented in Santiago and Viña due to an inability to track the use of the TAG device installed in each vehicle to pay for the Central Highway toll-road in Santiago.
