The streets of Valparaiso are a towering mound of spaghetti: winding in and out, up and down, back and forth, crossing and re-crossing, and sometimes not meeting at all. Staircases, passages, alleyways, funiculares and ascensores help to connect this mess of disjointed inclines. Vina del Mar is Chile’s most popular seaside resort, a glittering city specifically designed as a resort getaway for its neighbor, Valparaiso. Vina is only an hour’s drive from Santiago, so it’s an ideal spot for a refreshing break from the bustle of the city.
Escape busy Puerto Montt to a secluded, serene beachfront site 20 km south of town. This day tour excursion includes a two-hour boat ride, local cuisine and an afternoon free to roam the beach, paddle a sea kayak, ride a horse or enjoy our invigorating sauna. You are welcome to stay the night at a campground under the stars (with hot showers) if you so choose.
